Unlimited lives:
You can use either Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong to do this trick. Play the first level and try to get all of the Donkey Kong Coins and Bananas. Do this as many times as needed. Then, go to the level before the first Boss. Go to the barrel in the ditch and repeat.
Freeze Kremlings:
Collect the letters "K", "O", "N", and "G" all one the same level, then complete the level. The game is also saved after beating a Boss.
Enter the bonus stage just half-way through level 8 (Gangplank Galleon). Collect the extra life and leave the stage. Re-enter the stage to collect another extra life. Repeat this procedure to collect an unlimited amount of lives.
Go to world 2, level 1. Find the location where there is a barrel and a big Kremling that laughs when your character rolls into him. Kill or avoid him and pick up the barrel. Jump over the first Kremling and jump on to the next platform. If you are playing as Diddy, the Kremlings will freeze up and start to trade places. If playing as Donkey Kong, jump into the gap between the wall and the last Kremling. The barrel should stay in place. Keep holding B, and he may pick up the barrel again. If not, the barrel will eventually explode. Sometimes Donkey Kong's glitch will work with Diddy and vice versa.
